This is just a side project blog that we'd like to dedicate to our nail art and the addiction that we have for polishes

Carlin and Alex own this blog together so there can be double the nail awesomeness

Day 21: Inspired by a Color
My color choice was red. I haven’t had a classic shade of red on my finger nails in who knows how long. I also wanted to make it look less boring with a glitter gradient  with Electrify from the Hunger Games collection. I thought the red would bring out the little flecks of red in the glitter.

Day 20: Water Marble

Okay, a few things about this manicure, I wanted to pick a color combination that wasn’t too loud and obnoxious and kind of more appropriate for work, so I used softer pastel colors.

Also, I love the way this came out. I’m usually terrible at marbling, but this is the first time the swirls came out fairly consistent.

It reminds me of the assorted chocolate box that I bought last night XD

But I used Essie because of the softer colors

Turquoise and Caicos

Pop Art Pink

Chinchilly

[please excuse my hellacious cuticles. I guess they got very dry from me scraping off the excess paint.]

I don’t know if i really like these. I feel like there’s so much going on, but I think they turned out better than expected
Colors used:
CG: Midnight Magic
NYC: Starry Silver Glitter
Orly: Rococo-A-Go-Go
Orly: Rock-It
Opi: Fly
NYC: French White Tip
Sally’s Xtreme Wear: Blue It

Day 18: Glitter (with Starburst accents)

So my camera is acting up so for the time being, I have to use my mother’s fossil of a camera, so I apologize in advance if the next few pictures aren’t as clear quality.

But this one turned out pretty well I think. I’m not a fan of using flash but 1. it enhanced the pigments in the glitter and 2. it was the only way I could get a photo that wasn’t blurry.

I used:

Opi- Birthday Babe

China Glaze: Some like it haute

Day 17: Tribal Print!

This definitely turned out better than I expected. Now I just have to do my non dominant hand -_-

I really love this color combination. I was at CVS and was torn between this purple color [En Voyage] and Essie’s Playdate, and I liked this one better and was genuinely surprised at how durable and shiny it is. I really like this brand.

Colors used:

Purple: En Voyage- Wet n’ Wild

Blue: Mint Candy Apple- Essie

Orange: Cloud 9- Sinful Colors

and Black and White Stripers

Day 13- Animal Print
I used Essies Mint Candy Apple and Sally’s Blue Me Away! for my zebra stripes. I originally wanted to do snake scales but the stamp was just not picking anything off the plate. ugh!

Day 12: Stripes
I used Essie’s Mojito Madness, [I can’t get enough of that color] alongside some black and white stripers. This isn’t my original design, but I love it so much.
