This is just a side project blog that we'd like to dedicate to our nail art and the addiction that we have for polishes
Carlin and Alex own this blog together so there can be double the nail awesomeness

HALF MOON HALF MOONS - Nail Challenge - Day 18 - half moon nails!
31 Day Challenge - Day 10: Gradient Nails
Pastel Gradient with Stars
31 Day Challenge - Day 8: Metallic Nails
Braided Metal
So now that school has started back up again, I really don’t have any time to sit down and do my nails for hours like I did during the summer. I just needed a little fun project to do to keep me inspired and busy during the summer.
This is the challenge that I did and if anyone wants to do it. Let me know if you do it so I can keep up with it! :]

Day 25: Inspired by Fashion

This was the Tibi Spring 2009 Fashion show, and I was inspired by the colors of the garment. I absolutely love the orange and turquoise together
Colors used:
-Timely Turquoise- Maybelline express [complete dupe of Sally Hansen’s Marine Science]
-Brazilliant- Essie
-Marley- Zoya
-Did it on ‘em- OPI
Day 23: Inspired by a Book
I went with the literal book cover, and I chose Salem Falls by Jodi Picoult. This book is CRAZY. This out of towner guy gets mixed up with a group of 15 year old girls who practice witchcraft and an alleged rape. The whole book is basically going through the trials to see if it was him or not. All of Jodi’s books have pretty crazy twists if anyone is interested.

The colors are a lot more subtle in person, but I sponged very soft colors to mimic the unfocused background and used green for blades of grass. I also made little glitter flowers to put in the grass but the flash didn’t catch them very well. Oh well… haha.
Colors used:
Marley-Zoya
Minimalistic- Essie (base color)
Pop Art Pink- Essie
Mint Candy Apple- Essie
Mint Sorbet- Sally Hansen
and green acrylic paint

Day 21: Inspired by a colour, and that colour evidently is Blue!
Experiment, experiment, experiment! Sponge gradient, denim acid wash, vertical gradient, ombre mosaic and made my own jelly polish at home *grin
So much blue!
Day 21: Inspired by a Color
My color choice was red. I haven’t had a classic shade of red on my finger nails in who knows how long. I also wanted to make it look less boring with a glitter gradient with Electrify from the Hunger Games collection. I thought the red would bring out the little flecks of red in the glitter.
Day 20: Water Marble
Okay, a few things about this manicure, I wanted to pick a color combination that wasn’t too loud and obnoxious and kind of more appropriate for work, so I used softer pastel colors.
Also, I love the way this came out. I’m usually terrible at marbling, but this is the first time the swirls came out fairly consistent.
It reminds me of the assorted chocolate box that I bought last night XD
But I used Essie because of the softer colors
Turquoise and Caicos
Pop Art Pink
Chinchilly
[please excuse my hellacious cuticles. I guess they got very dry from me scraping off the excess paint.]
